Fascinating life of Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb

Maryam Aurangzeb is a famous Pakistani politician, who was born on July 16, 1980 in the city of Lahore in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Her current age is 44 years. Maryam Aurangzeb's residence is in Lahore. Her father's name is Raja Aurangzeb Abbasi Khan and her mother's name is Tahira Aurangzeb. 

Maryam Aurangzeb's husband's name is Alauddin Ahmad Taseer. Their religion is Islam. Maryam Aurangzeb weights 65 kg and her height is 5 feet 6 inches. Maryam Aurangzeb started her primary education in Lahore, followed by her intermediate education from Islamabad Federal College and then enrolled in Quaid-e-Azam University for her Masters in Economics. And then moved to London where she did her Masters in Development and Environmental Policy from King's College for higher education.

Maryam Aurangzeb is the only daughter of Tahira Aurangzeb. Tahira Aurangzeb is a Pakistani politician. Tahira Aurangzeb divorced her first husband Mr, Ashraf and later married Raja Aurangzeb. Her family continues to participate in politics Maryam Aurangzeb is an accomplished Pakistani politician who is a member of the National Assembly elected on the Pakistan Muslim League (N) ticket.

Maryam Aurangzeb's mother Tahira Aurangzeb is also serving in politics while Tahira Aurangzeb's father Mushahidullah has also served as MNA of Pakistan Muslim League (N) for many years. Maryam Aurangzeb is an educated politically conscious woman who entered politics after studying in London. Maryam Aurangzeb contested and won the National Assembly seat for the first time on the Pakistan Muslim League (N) party ticket in the 2013 general elections of Pakistan.

Maryam Aurangzeb fortunately won the highest number of votes. After becoming an MNA, Maryam Aurangzeb worked with Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz in the field of education. She was appointed as the chief organizer of the Islamabad and Rawalpindi women's wings of the Pakistan Muslim League (N).

In 2016, he was made Minister of Broadcasting, Information and National Heritage in Nawaz Sharif's cabinet. Earlier, she has served in the same position with several important ministries. She has been associated with Pakistan Muslim League-N for a long time. She has worked with Maryam Nawaz in the education sector and was also the climate change minister earlier.

Besides being an MNA, Maryam Aurangzeb was also elected as the spokesperson of her party in 2018. She has also been the Minister of State for Information. However, after the disqualification of the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he was barred from holding official positions. After that, when Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was made the Prime Minister, she was again given the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and she held this position till the completion of her tenure.

In 2018 general elections Imran Khan government was formed and after that in 2022 Imran Khan government was overthrown due to no confidence at that time all the parties came together and it was named as PDM. The PDM together decided to make Shahbaz Sharif the Prime Minister and handed over the federal government to him.

After Shahbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister, Maryam Aurangzeb was again entrusted with the post of Information and Broadcasting and she resigned two days before the completion of her term and due to this the elections were delayed. After his government left, the caretaker government came in and announced general elections on February 8, 2024.

In the elections held on February 8, the people voted enough for the independent candidates, but the candidates of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) won in a large number and they decided to form the government once again with other parties in Punjab and the federal government. Also, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidates will assume the post of Prime Minister and Chief Minister and Mariyam Aurangzeb will be given a ministry once again.
